Large industrial sites already have something increasingly valuable: a connection to the power system. When grid capacity becomes a constraint on industrial growth, storage can turn an existing connection into a more flexible energy platform.
Daybreak develops large-scale battery infrastructure around these existing grid connections and integrates storage with the site's electricity demand.
Storage can create additional flexibility between the grid, industrial demand, renewable electricity and power markets.
The objective is not to place a battery next to a factory. The objective is to redesign how the site interacts with the power system.

Flagship project
Industrial paired storage — Port of Antwerp-Bruges
Daybreak is developing a multi-phase battery energy storage platform at a major industrial site in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, with a planned total capacity of up to 1.2 GW / 4.7 GWh.
The project demonstrates what paired storage can become at industrial scale: energy infrastructure designed around an existing grid connection, industrial demand and the future electrification of the site.
